10th October 2002: It's all against
the little clubs according to Megson and Allardyce, and you can see
their point. For the Albion, there's Laurent Blanc, Martin Keown and
now Andy O'Brien who should all have received red cards for professional
fouls, and there's the Hyypia challenge on Roberts and now this back
pass debacle that all seem to back it up. So how do we counter it?
Whingeing won't make a difference so let's stand up to it, fight for
our lives and succeed despite it. Our fans are the best in the land.
As the Newcastle program said, West Bromwich Albion is one of the
proudest and most historic clubs in England, so let's live up to it.
The performance at Newcastle was excellent, the result was not. It's
time to start turning the performances into results and the next few
games give us a chance. Birmingham at home is a must win, Chelsea
are notoriously poor against the "smaller" clubs, Man City at home
is another must win, Bolton away has got to be a point at least. Eight
or ten points from the next four and we're comfortably mid-table again,
if not higher. And then we've got those boys up the road that need
another lesson!!
No more whingeing, just winning!!
