11th November 2003: Spooky....
On the day I have a whinge about the FA Disciplinary Procedures, they
appoint a man to review their procedures to speed them up and make
them more transparent.
It was the obvious thing to do, but how often do the FA do that -
maybe Mark Palios will bring some sanity to the English game's leading
body.
What's more, the man appointed is Brendon Batson. I was disappointed
to see him leave the Albion and I'm glad to see him back in work.
Having said that, I'm not surprised the Albion got rid of him as he
was on more than £150,000 a year at the Hawthorns and one of only
two directors who took a salary, the other being Mark Jenkins, the
Finance Director, who's salary is just under £50,000.
Good luck Brendon, I'm sure it won't be too difficult to improve those
procedures....
