2nd March 2004: A solid point
from a solid performance and a lot to be proud of from the Albion
team. Chambers was the outstanding player as he marked Huckerby out
of the game but Gregan, Robinson and Koumas were all impressive.
A win would've made up for Saturday, but I would've taken a point.
The real talking points were concerning the referee once again. Although
the decisions evened themselves out over the game, he was utterly
incompetent. I can probably forgive him the Chambers-Huckerby incident,
not only because he decided in our favour but he was unsighted (although
the lino can have no such excuses), but he was well-placed for the
handball in the first half and some of his other decisions were just
bizarre.
But it's on to the next game, another tough encounter against an on-form
Coventry - we cannot afford to drop points in that one.
