17th March 2004: It's all about
results and that was one hell of a result, particularly when you consider
that we were 1-0 down with 13 minutes left.
Yes, the performances was poor and we couldn't have really complained
if Wigan had left with all three points. Jewell sent them out to do
an Albion on the Albion - to stop us playing and be very physical.
I'd like to think that Albion don't sink to the depths that Wigan's
players did in terms of the foul play they employed throughout the
game (I think a stronger referee may have sent off another couple
of Wigan players), but it was definitely an Albion-like performance
similar to ther one we turned in at Carrow Road.
But once again, Albion's grit and determination shone through and
they took the game by the scruff of the neck in the last fifteen minutes,
and wrestled the three points from Wigan.
And just a note to the two idiots who sit in front of me and always
leave five minutes before the end - you pay £450 a year for your seat
and you've missed one of the most vital and pleasing moments of the
season, it beggars belief! If we win promotion in a home game, will
you be there to celebrate?
