21st April 2004: One more point
and the Baggies will be back in the Big Time. Either that or Sunderland
fail to beat Wigan at lunchtime on Saturday. Sunderland's defeat at
Crystal Palace has assured Norwich of Premiership football next season
and left Albion just a point away. Wouldn't it be ironic if a Jason
Roberts goal sealed Albion's promotion?
The other great news of the day saw Gaardsoe's suspension rescinded
for the sending off at Millwall, which means that he will be able
to play in his "tribute game" at Reading - unfortunately, as I was
travelling up to the North East on Saturday morning, I was unable
to queue for tickets and won't be there to see it. Everybody say "aaah".
Still, I'll be at Stoke which is where, with a bit of luck, we could
secure the Championship. Now that would be something.
Boing Boing!!
