You
may think that the scenes of joy at the Hawthorns, and those of
desolation at Hillsborough and Dingledom were just because of the
events of that spring Sunday afternoon.
You would be wrong.
They were due in no small part to the Black Country rivalry that
has flourished in the 16 years since the two clubs have been out
of the top flight, and, moreover, to the fact that the Baggies made
up an astonishing 11 points on their near neighbours in a mere six
short weeks. |

| A
comeback of gargantuan proportions! I, for one, had given up all
hope of second spot on that fateful night at Deepdale on 26th February.
Oh ye of little faith. |
The
lads have done us proud. Let's get ready for the Premiership where
we can battle it out with our real local rivals!
BRING ON THE VILLA! |
