I was unable to travel to Wigan for this game and, having read reports
from those who did on Boing
Boing, I feel relieved.
I think the less said about this game the better. Megson fielded
a second-string side, mainly the reserve first team plus Koumas,
Siggy and Hughes, and they were downright awful.
And Megson's only positive comment was that it proved he was playing
the correct first eleven - so where does that leave Siggy, Koumas,
Marshall, Wallwork, Clement, Dobie, Dichio, James Chambers and Hughes
who have all featured in the first team and played some part at
Wigan?
