first for me as we trekked to the far reaches of England into Geordieland.
It is, in my opinion, the most impressive Premiership ground of
the lot, but maybe that's due to the location of the away fans.
As you can see from these pictures, It's a very high stand giving
a full view of the pitch without moving your eyes! It does mave
it a little difficult to recognise the players by anything other
than their hair and skin colour, and the way they run. You can just
make out the coast at Whitley Bay from the back of the stand, but
that town has far more to offer than the sea as we found out later
that evening. As for the match, Albion had the home side on the
back foot and had the audacity to take the lead, but a dodgy backpass
decision and a failure to dismiss O'Brien for a professional foul
lead to a Shearer brace to win the points for the Toon. Click here
